Astra is fast, lightweight and customizable theme. If you’re planning to change your current theme and try Astra, here is the good news: We just released a plugin that will help you make all of your pages designed with Page Builders go full width in just one click.
How it works?
To see how it works, let me switch one of my test website from other theme to Astra.
As you can see, this page is built using Page Builder and after switching to Astra theme, it looks unappropriate as it is now in a boxed layout with Sidebar and Title visible.
Astra offers setting to make your complete website full width from the customizer or particular pages from the meta box. However, enabling full width from the customizer will make your entire website go full width, which can look bad on some pages. And making pages full width from meta box options will be very time consuming if you have a website with many pages.
So, let’s install the Switch to Astra plugin, that will smartly detect only Pages / Posts that are made using Page Builders (Beaver Builder, Elementor & Visual Composer) and make them full width automagically.
Step 1: Install the Switch to Astra plugin.
Step 2: As soon as you activate the plugin, you will see a button to make your Page Builder pages full width. Click on it.
Step 3: Done! All the pages on your website that were built using Page Builders should be full width now.
By the way, did you know: Astra automatically makes new pages created with Page Builders full width?

I use Flatsome, Can i switch to Astra just one click????
Switching themes, especially on eCommerce website should be done little carefully. We strongly advise to do it on a staging website.
How about switching from Divi? Does the plugin recognize the built-in Divi builder?
Divi Builder is not supported although you can use Astra Bulk Edit to quickly change these settings.
How can I make Astra look good on a wide screen and a laptop?

Hi Sujay,
I’m about switching from OceanWp to Astra. I want to make sure nothing is broken and also doesn’t mess up my blog and all that.
What step should I take to do this?
I currently like the background and text style of my blog. But one of the reasons I do like to switch is that I will be turning my homepage to a lead gen + category style. Then have a separate page for my blog posts via elementor.
And since OceanWp doesn’t have such templates I’m moving everything over to Astra.
Would appreciate the steps for that, or let me know if there are none.
I’m already a customer of your awesome Schema Pro
Thanks!
Hello,
You can certainly switch from any existing theme to Astra by following the steps mentioned above.
Switching a theme will affect the settings you’ve managed with your previous theme. Therefore, it is best to take a backup of your existing website, create a staging site and then try switching the theme to see how things go for you.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any further queries.
This did not work for me at all
