A contact form is the one place where you can turn a website from an online brochure into a genuine conversation.
It’s where visitors can engage with you and begin that delicate dance known as customer acquisition.
WordPress has its own contact form block but it’s basic to say the least.
The minute you want to make it more engaging or add new fields, you’ll need a plugin.
Which is why we’re looking at 19 of the best WordPress contact form plugins.
We have used all of them over the years. Some are great, some not so much.
Here are the best of the bunch.
This is What We Look for in a WordPress Contact Form Plugin
We have been using WordPress contact form plugins since we first began building websites.
So what do we look for? What makes a form plugin worth using?
- Drag and drop builder: The days of coding forms are thankfully long gone. Now we want to drag and drop fields to build a form.
- Responsive design: As most people now use mobiles, a contact form needs to adapt to different screen sizes.
- Conditional logic: A smart contact form makes us look good, which is why we like forms that respond to input.
- Effective spam protection: This is a big one for us. Anything that helps prevent spam is a good thing as far as we’re concerned.
- Integration: Forms that work with marketing platforms or a CRM add another level to marketing.
- Price: A good price for a good quality contact form plugin is all we ask. If there’s a free option, it needs to be worth using.
- Data protection: If form plugins have specific features to protect data, it’s definitely on our list!
Your criteria may be different, but we think if a plugin can do all these things, it’s definitely worth checking out.
