Social sharing is a feature that comes with Astra Pro in v4.1.0 and above. This will now enable you to share your blog post from your website on different social media with just a click of a button. Combined with lots of options, let’s take a closer look.

Astra Social Sharing for Single Blog Post

Social Sharing in Astra allows website visitors to share content on Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Tumblr, Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat, VK, and SMS.

This is the Simplest and Slickest Social Share option with optimized and great-looking vector icons.

Note: Instagram is not available as a sharing option. Instagram does not offer a public sharing URL for websites, and posts can only be created from within the Instagram app itself. Because of this, Instagram cannot be added as a share button. To send visitors to an Instagram profile instead, add a social profile link in the header or footer using the Social Icon element.

This will only work on a single blog post when the Astra Pro addon plugin is enabled.

You can find the toggle button to Enable Social Sharing through the Customizer option at Appearance > Customize > Blog > Single Post > Social Sharing.

Key Features

Social Sharing in Astra has multiple features and options to customize this feature.

1. Alignment: Aligns the social sharing option to Left, Center, or Right.

2. Heading: This allows users to add heading text and also change the heading position to Above or Below.

3. Social Media List: List of all social media listed to be added to your website. You can add or remove, change the social label, change the social media icon itself, or rearrange social media icons as per your choice.

4. Label: Enable the label for the social media list and change the label position to Above or Below.

5. Icon Position: You can change the social sharing icon position 

• Below post title: Add social sharing below the post title
• Below post: Add social sharing below the post
• Left content: Stick the social sharing position to the left
• Right content: Stick the social sharing position to the right

Design Options for Social Sharing

Navigate to the ‘Design’ tab to design the color type, Icon Size, Icon Spacing, Padding, Margin, and Border radius.

Color type

– Custom: Allows you to change the color and background color of the social sharing icon
– Official: Adds official color schemes for all the social sharing icons. You can also change the label, heading, and background color when normal and hovered
– You can also change the icon size, spacing, background spacing, and radius of the icons
– Font styling can also be changed for the heading and label
– Finally, there are more spacing options for the social media section, like padding, Margin, and changing border-radius
